RE: PREPARING FOR THE FIRST SEMESTER FINAL EXAMINATIONS

Dear Respected Parents,

Please be aware of the upcoming events and way you can help your children prepare for the First Semester Final Examinations. These examinations are weighted heavily and highly influence the final semester grade. Please talk to you children at home about the January Character Counts Program Trait of LISTENING. Discuss with them how being a good listener helps in life, school, and in relationships.

How to Help Your Students Prepare for the Upcoming Examinations
1) NO TV OR COMPUTERS DURING SCHOOL NIGHTS!
2) DO NOT GIVE YOUR CHILD A CELL PHONE. THEY CAN ACCESS EVERYTHING BY USING A CELL PHONE THESE DAYS.
3) Be sure the review sheets are attached into the exercise books.
4) Make sure your students know the day of their exams for each subject.
5) Talk to your child about what resources they can use to review. Make it clear that review sheets and worksheets and tests will not be enough.
A) Reading all chapters.
B) Answering all questions without looking at the answers from the books.
C) Reading all notes.
D)  Asking parents, ASP teachers, and family members to make practice tests.
E) Reading all previous tests and worksheets again and again.
F) Highlighting the books and workbooks as they read by using a highlighter marker.
G) Asking friends and family members to do question and answer from all study materials.
H) Using the review sheet and completing any practice questions provided there.

Feel free, as always, to come in and contact the site director of your campus if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Dr. Leea Gibson, Ed. D., Managing Director
